侍御史
官名。 汉沿秦置。 受命御史中丞, 接受公卿奏事, 举劾非法; 有时受命执行办案、 镇压农民起义等任务, 号为"绣衣直指"。 宣帝曾召侍御史二人治书, 后乃专设治书侍御史。 侍御史分掌令曹、 印曹、 供曹、 尉马曹、 乘曹。 魏、 晋、 南北朝时, 曹数时有增减, 但均不止五曹, 治书侍御史也分掌各曹, 与汉制不同。 北朝魏、 齐必对策高第者方能补御史官。 唐侍御史属台院, 殿中侍御史属殿院, 、 监察御史属监院, 三者并列。 侍御史掌纠兴举百官、 入閤承诏、 知推(推鞫)弹(弹举)公廨(知公廨事)、 杂事(御史台中其他各事)等事, 以知杂事最忙。 宋、 元及明初侍御史只设一二人, 作为御史大夫、 御史中丞的佐贰。
